Tu B'Shvat at Mazel

In honor of Tu B'Shvat kindergarten took part in a school wide fruit fest. We helped prepare for the fruit festival by bringing along olives for the whole school.

Another name for Tu B'shvat is Rosh Hashana La'Ilanot/the birthday of the trees. We specifically celebrate the trees that grow in Israel. We all had a chance to taste all 7 fruits that grow in the Land of Israel. We also got to make the beracha shehecheyanu on a new exotic fruit and ate delicious cake that was shaped in tree.

We learned a special song with our music teacher about this special day on the Jewish calendar.

       "Hashkedia porachat v'shemesh bo zorachat..."
