Kindergarten celebrated the 100th Day of school!! As time has gone by we have been keeping track of the days of school. We have a chart with 3 pockets for the ones, tens and hundreds. For each day of school we added a straw to the ones pocket. When we hit 10, we made a bundles of the ten straws and moved it over to the tens pocket. This has continued and has been a very good way to learn how to count by tens until we reached a hundred. Once we made it to the 100th day of school, we tied the ten bundles of ten into one big bundle and moved it over to the hundreds pocket. The children enjoyed this very much!
To start off the 100th Day celebration, the children made crowns to wear. We also read, The 100th Day of School, and were even quiet for 100 seconds.
In our journals, we wrote about:
What Would We Do With $100...
Alan- buy a real monster truck
Simon- buy a big, giant basket of apples
Shimon- buy a real silly car
Nate- buy a super Lamborghini
Zaylin- go to a baseball game and be on the Yankees

Ariella- buy a castle
Emy- buy an airplane
Yonni- buy what I want like a football for me to play on the Giants with
Felix- buy a real train

To end the celebration we baked a cake that had 100 colored sprinkles and 100 colored stars. Each child also received a 100 Days Smarter Certificate. We are so proud!
