The Olive Oil Press came to visit our school for Chanukah. They retold the story of Chanukah while teaching us how to make our very own olive oil. Each child put olives in a bowl, which was later added to the press. Some of the children had the opportunity to help in the process of making the oil. We saw all of the olives squished together, which in effect cause oil to pour out. Luckily we had a cup there to catch all of it. After the making of the oil was complete, the children poured it into a menorah that they lit. It was really a fun experience!
