The Chanukah Story.

Once we finished learning all the details to the Chanukah story, we thought it would be a great idea to act it out. Our friend Alan brought in an awesome Maccabee costume and the rest of us found costumes and props all around the classroom.

Yehuda the Maccabee.

The bad Greek Soldiers.

Jewish children hiding in caves, so they can learn Alef Baiz.

One Jewish friend on the lookout for Greek soldiers.

If Greek soldiers came into the caves, the children would start playing dreidel
so they wouldn't get into trouble for learning Torah.

Very brave Maccabees.

Finally, the Maccabees chased all the Greek soldiers out of the Land of Israel. The Jews made
their way back to the Bais Hamikdash to clean everything up and light the Menorah..
