Tishrei starts with the holiday of Rosh Hashanna. In Kindergarten, we learned all about the mitzvos we need to do before Rosh Hashanna. For example, asking our friends and family for forgiveness if we might have done something not nice to them over the passed year.
We also learned about the mitzvos and customs we do on the actual two days Rosh Hashanna. For example, listening to the blasts of the shoffar.
Kindergarten had the privilege of seeing and hearing many different types of shoffars before yom tov. Thank you Morah Tammy's husband! He told us where shoffars come from, how we make them and what it's purpose is.
